DIRECTV wanted to be a premium TV service provider but was struggling to retain customers in a market filled with fierce competition. They wanted to elevate their branding for a series of seasonal holiday promotions.
The DIRECTV brand already felt modern, and trustworthy, as a "mass luxury" provider of sports and entertainment, but the graphic style felt boilerplate.
To bring this holiday positioning to life I created various dimensional typography, illustrations, and logos. The dynamic angles of each graphic vignette gave a feeling of motion and excitement.
